How does Humi[K] improve efficiency of nutrient use?

Functional humic substances are scientifically proven to:

• chelate and complex calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, manganese, along with other nutrients, making them more readily available in soil solution chemistry and in plants
• help prevent nutrients from being flushed out of the soil

Thus, with the addition of humic substances you can better retain bioavailable nutrients in and around the root zone. Also, because of buffering capacities in the soil, the translocation of the micro and macronutrients are more efficient and homogeneous.

What makes Humi[K] superior quality?

HGS’s humic acid (potassium humate) consists of highly oxidized sub-bituminous humalite that originates from the decomposition of organic plant matter in Northern Canada. Per numerous studies by the International Humic Substances Society (IHSS), humic substances have various chelating, buffering, and complexing capacities. This raw material mined in Northern Canada is truly humified material from plant matter combined with the high biological activity of microorganisms. This humic acid source is similar to the commonly found leonardite (lignite coal), but HGS’s source contains a higher concentration of humic and fulvic acids and significantly lower levels of ash and heavy metals, such as lead, arsenic, and mercury.

How does HGS activate humic acid molecules to make them more functional?
