Skin Care: (We Do That Too!)

To pay tribute to the return of our highly acclaimed topical cleanse, here are some simple skin care tips.
1. Steam Weekly
Steaming is often overlooked as a very beneficial cleansing tactic. It's as simple as bringing chamomile tea to a boil, forming a sort of "tent" around your face with a towel, and placing your head above the pot. The process helps to free up dead cells, dirt, and bacteria. Three to five minutes of exposure to the vapors will do the trick.
2. Exfoliate Gently
It is very important to avoid exfoliating too aggressively. People often use harsh exfoliants with the hopes of eliminating those dead skin cells that cause breakouts. Using exfoliants with apricot pits or nut shells can actually cause micro-tears, resulting in unhealthy skin. Also, avoid using loofahs on your face. This kind of over-exfoliation removes good, new skin. Look for very fine abrasives.
3. Moisturize Daily
Moisturizing is perhaps the most important way to keep young, healthy-looking skin. Regardless of season, use a daily moisturizer with an SPF of 15 or above. The sun and wind can still maintain their damaging effects in the winter. Moisturizing also reduces the prevalence of dry skin and eczema.
